Podcast 57: Time to Book your Christmas Session

It’s crazy to think in a few months the decorations will be up, staring with Halloween. In fact, the first Halloween store appeared the second to last week in July as they begun their store prep. The time of year is crazy and the old adage - “So many things, so little time” is absolutely true.

As you plan for our “Christmas Story” photo session, we put together a few tips to assist.

1) SCHEDULING - We start booking our holiday photo shoots around August. So booking sooner rather than later ensures you get the session that fits your schedule.

2) PLAN AHEAD - We post a lot of photos of our sessions, review them and see if you have any questions about the process, what to bring, how to prepare. We supply the majority of items for the session.

3) DON’T STRESS - When trying out a new session, it’s ok to be a little nervous. Feel free to bring a friend, partner, spouse if it helps with nerves.

4) PROPS - For the most part, for our Christmas Story session, we have all the props ready for you. It won’t be a lot, since we really want to focus on you.

 5) COMFORT - For the majority of our sessions, you get both myself and Erin, but we will never tell you not to bring someone else with you. Whatever is the most comfortable

6) BRING AN ADDITIONAL OUTFIT - With our Christmas Story photo session, we coordinate prior to the session on what we’ll be doing. But if you have your hopes on one particular outfit that matches the story, bring it along. We’re always game for a little zig to the zag.

 7) POST SESSION FUN - You worked hard to get the images you want and the hard work is over. Post session, plan a fun event - whether it’s a dinner, walk on the beach or something you enjoy. The hard work on your end is over and we can’t wait to share your Christmas Story Photos with you.
